Light is an electromagnetic wave.
X-rays are electromagnetic waves too, just like light, but our eyes don't see the "colors" of x-rays.
We invented "film" that can capture images with x-ray light.

Turns out x-ray light passes stuff very easily, but only if you shine a light bright enough.
It's just like holding a flashlight to your finger or hand, you can see the blood and veins and gross stuff.
X-ray does the same, but much better than a flashlight. It also "burns" you much more than a flashlight, so we very short/fast flashes to prevent "burning" your insides. The type of "burning your insides" isn't the hot kind of burning done with heat or fire, but more like the kind that happens with a sunburn. Always wear SPF 10million before getting an xray, or just wear the lead apron.

Light near a black whole gets stretched and becomes red shifted. Light in a black hole should be stretched to infinity then, or is the a planks length of how big a EM wave can get?
