I want to rewrite the American calculus curriculum because I hate Stewart. I think that instead of starting with continuity students should start with discrete difference calculus and then from there introduce initial value problems and boundary conditions before the concept of limits are introduced. I think if it is constantly shown with simple physical examples like, yields from apple farms, for example) it can be done, which can give students a much better sense of how calculus is used in the real world. Thoughts?
