Sometimes I eat a popsicle or drink a can of soda and just get overwhelmed by the beauty of global supply chains. People from a dozen countries worked on this thing. Extracted resources from the ground. Refined them. Drew up blueprints to turn them into product. Assembled them. Transported them to me. A person working in an office wasted months of their life to market it me. All of it made efficient by competition. Resources allocated with utmost care by invisible hands. It's wondrous, it's beautiful. God bless capitalism.
