i've invented a new type of remote controlled toy and i'm trying to get it into the market. it's a ground-based vehicle that uses a sphere instead of wheels. i've got the mechanics figured out but i need the electronics as well. how do i make a logic output from an infrared receiver start an electric motor? do i use witchcraft to drive the motor directly with the logic output or do i use some sort of digital on/off switch? i only did some high school level logic gate stuff so idunnolol.jpg

also, can you recommend me some reading material about integrated circuits and whatnot? i need to work out the battery recharging as well and put it all together into a working system

do you guys think an electric motor will be bothered if there's a strong magnet in close proximity to it? if you have one of those tiny cars or helicopters and a magnet could you try it out for me pls? the reason i'm asking is that i thought of a new type of wizard rc toy that involves magnets
