Engineering usually takes 5 years, and another 2 for a masters. Dental and pharmacy only require 4 years of grad school and they make twice as much money, have much more job security, and can work in just about any city they want. They never need to move to another location for their company, or to get a promotion.

Engineering= 4-7 years
Pharmacy/dental = 8 (but get 2x the pay + job security and nationwide demand)
