Cas9 (CRISPR associated protein 9, formerly called Cas5, Csn1, or Csx12) is a 160 kilodalton protein

The COVID-19 virus, also known as SARS-CoV-2, is composed of multiple proteins, each with its own molecular weight. The virus has a genome that encodes for several structural and non-structural proteins. The molecular weights of these proteins vary, ranging from around 3 to 200 kilodaltons (kDa). However, there isn't a single protein in the virus with a molecular weight of exactly 160 kDa that is universally recognized as a defining characteristic. The exact composition and molecular weights of the proteins in SARS-CoV-2 are topics of ongoing research and may vary depending on factors such as viral strain and experimental methods used for analysis.
