The really fascinating parts are below that rubble though. The towers were stuck with huge pilings into solid granite, not many pictures got out before they quickly filled it all in and paved it over. Granite is an intrusive igneous rock native to those parts and scraped clean by many ice ages. The granite directly under WTC 1,2 and 6 were metamorphosed. This kind of reformation only occurs under a miles of mantle or with subterranean nuclear detonations. The US military since the above ground test ban has become an expert of sorts in this form of bomb detonation! The desert is full of those holes now.
