2.: that's true, but it doesn't have anything to do with what I said. Most of the real- and complex numbers are transcendent, since non-transcendent numbers are countable unlike transcendent numbers which are not-countable.

also what you've written is actually not a very wide-range of use of a capacitor, and there are easier ways to "denoise" current - for example with a coil, which is as you may know the dual for the capacitor.

to op: it's also possible to separate individual signals with it, using their frequency.

As you may know the capacitor has an attribute called: "Capacitive-resistance", which differentiates on every frequency, thus making it a "filter" - "filter-capacitor".
