The problem with September 11 was that the exit stairwells filled with smoke. What a person needed was not a rappelling line, but a gas mask.

The windows were also designed against hurricane winds and bird strikes. You couldn't break them with a sledge. People jumped from the roof because they couldn't open the windows.

Yes. But the real question is, how many times are you going to ask the question?

Are you defining race by major histocompatibility complex?

> The MHC variation in the human population is high, at least 350 alleles for HLA-A genes, 620 alleles for HLA-B, 400 alleles for DR, and 90 alleles for DQ.
So that means there are over 1,400 races?

>During times when humans were only in the millions, polymaths and geniuses were everywhere.
The last time there were less than 1 billion humans, Napolean was marching across the Alps, 9 out of 17 US states thought slavery was ok and the locomotive hadn't been invented yet.

In 1800, the average US citizen was rural and didn't travel more than 50 miles from his birthplace. Ever. Education centered around if you could read and write. That's basically all you needed. If you got enough math to run the books on your farm, you were doing good.

So who exactly was the genius here?

Yes and no. It all depends on what you mean by biology.

Example: a soldier goes off to war and gets his leg blown off. Does he have a different anatomy? Yes: he only has 1 leg. Is his physiology different? No. His liver works the same with a leg as without.

Are blacks anatomically different? Yes. They have a greater expression of melanin, different skulls and much larger penises than anyone on /pol/.

Physiologically, is there any difference? No. Black sperm can, and often does, impregnate eggs from white women the same way that the sperm from the virgin racist cucks on /pol/ would. That is, if the /pol/ permavirgins could ever find a willing woman. But you'd have to go to /x/ to talk about fantasies.

That's techno-bias. If you have a hankering for potassium, you just hop in your car, drive down to Wal-mart, and pick up some bananas flown in from Costa Rica.

Before the 1900's, you didn't have globalization. Or supermarkets. Or refrigeration. Or cereal fortified with all the vitamins you need. Or vitamins. You pretty much had dried meats and grains - if you were lucky.

If you were fat, you were rich.

Why couldn't it?

An all-out nuclear war will definitely set hundreds of cities ablaze. Millions of acres of forest would go up from the missiles that either miss, or from trying to hit the enemy's silos.

That's megatons of ash lifted into the atmosphere. If it happened now, the Northern Hemisphere would lose an entire year's crop.

The last time megatons of ash were lifted was the meteor 65 million years ago. As I recall, most dominant species didn't do so well.

You get 500 prisoners on death row. You offer them a pardon if they each drink from 1 barrel of wine.

Technically you haven't harmed anyone. You have saved 499 lives. The poisoned guy was going to die anyway. You just moved up his execution date.

These two things are not mutually exclusive. Why can't you design websites in your spare time?

> Why should he have enough money to even buy that car?
Because he put in the work for it.

Grownups realize that you are not entitled to anything just because you can pass an IQ test.

If you are truly smart, and want an Audi R8, then figure out a way to earn the money to buy it.

Oh, and for the record, I work as a repo agent in my spare time. I've driven plenty of Audis. Trust me, they are shit cars.

The CDC publishes a Zombie Survival kit. It is basically the same as a standard disaster survival kit.

It's been widely successful to convince people to make disaster kits.

> We've never been able to create life from nonlife in the lab.
Untrue. Modern technology can create bacterial cells from ribonucleic acids, amino acids and fatty acids.

We don't do it because it's much cheaper to just isolate E coli from a pile of shit and work with it (the E coli, not the shit), but we can do it.

Sorry, creationists.

How to transport food to people living in the desert instantaneously, without loss of nutrition

Solution A:
Develop teleportation device to beam food thousands of miles

Solution B:
Don't live in the fucking desert.

Which is the simpler solution?

> you'd want to "acquire" a girl BEFORE she's had any reason to have contact with anyone's penis.
What you wanted is immaterial.

According to Huxley's Brave New World Revisited, prehistoric societies lived by the wolf pack model. There were the beginnings of specialization (hunter vs. gatherer).

Unless you were the alpha male, you didn't fuck. At all. The alpha male made sure of that. It's where government came from.

Also, because your tribe basically followed the migration of the nearest prey species, you didn't have intertribe breeding. Your tribe was mainly related - due to having only one source of male genes. The alpha male fucked his daughters.

And if you lived past 30, you were old.

> hurl asteroid the size of the moon
Not necessary.

Just park a spaceship in the Asteroid Belt. If your propulsion system is Newtonian, or you have a magnetic rail device of any significant size, you should be able to push thousands of smaller asteroids, say 0.5 to 1km wide each.

It's the difference between dropping a piano on someone or shooting them with a shotgun. They're dead either way.

Vague question. Depends on how you cut it.

The question does NOT state the directions of the cuts, or the area of the resulting boards. If the cuts are parallel, the student is right.

Median incomes can be misleading.

Take a sample of 11 guys. 5 guys just graduated college. They cannot find jobs, or if they can, it's unpaid to minimum wage ($15k) internships.

6 other professionals in the same field have been in the business for 20 to 30 years. They earn $80+k a year.

The median income of these 11 workers is 80k. An oversimplified example, of course, but isn't math fun?
