So a scenario is deterministic if its probability density function has a finite range? That doesn't sound right at all. You still cannot determine the outcome of the scenario, only the probability of possible outcomes within this range.

A classic example of an indeterminate scenario is the number of photons which pass through a semi-transparent piece of glass. We know that if N photons are fired the maximum number which can pass through is N, and the minimum is zero. We also know the expected number of photons to pass through will be N*u, where u is the transparency coefficient. However none of this makes the scenario determinate.
