Basically a privatized school system partially subsidized by the government.

They would react the same way telling them God doesn't exist.

They would just deny it and continue to believe what they believe.

That's like saying "since this is the smartest board on 4chan," which is equatable to being the winner of the special olympics. That aside, if "the world" really makes you feel so bad, then try to make it better. Sitting in front of your computer, however, is not how you would go about doing that.

Pretty much. All it really serves to do is make the energy companies' jobs a bit harder for a day. Even among those that do end up "powering down," they'll just return to their usual ruts afterward and will forget all about it the next day over.
