Ok, I got one. Time dilation due to speed. The faster you go, the slower time goes. You can always get to where you want to be in half the amount of (your) time.

I get that. But does that mean there's a universal "Stopped" position? ie, you could have zero absolute velocity. I mean, if two ships leave earth and go half the speed of light in opposite directions, both experience less time than earth. But do they experience the same amount of time as each other? From each ship's point of view, the other ship is going ludicrous speeds.

We're hurling through the universe in a galaxy spinning around a sun. If you (de)accelerated opposite of that, wouldn't you get more time?
