Well there was only one pregnant individual observed, and it killed one of it's "family" members before the rest of it's group surrounded it, pinned it down, and sliced it open for the baby to be born. Then they ate the dead "mother" and the baby just went up to one of them and just propped itself up on it's new parent's back.

Life is most definitely elsewhere.

Are we ever going to see it? NO.

But is there life elsewhere, PROBABLY YES.

If life was able to form from compounds to amino-acids to cells on Earth, surely it would be able to elsewhere.

Probably not intelligent though.

I would say, that your not a /sci/entist if you didn't know that, at least our asteroid belt, has amino acids and amino acid capable compounds within it.

But back to the topic at hand, you have a good point OP. But the message was meant to be simple, and the patterns were based on a base-10 numeric system, which would be assumed an Alien race would use. I don't think anything will intercept it for several million, if not billion years, however.

I tend to believe extraterrestrial life does exist somewhere inside the Milky Way. It just seems like a terrifying void of nothing but clockwork with nobody around us other then our dumbfuck selves. Cellular Life is probable though.

It's all mental masturbation until we find something though.

Pic Related, it's the greatest book about Alien Life you could read.
