I just wanted to study cognitive Science and artificial intelligence /sci/, is that too much to ask?

there was a topic on /v/ which was praising the fact that they had to retake classes since they failed them. Some of the people went on to say Math is shit. Others claimed educational teachers should hold their hand the hold time or it's a waste of their time.
