So my lib gen doesn't have a DOI-search anymore. Wonderful.
Where else can I find such a nice search engine for paywalled scienfitic articles?

Related: What about paywalled political-sci stuff? Does anyone know by any chance how to get this

Prove that r' = -b + sqrt(b^2 - 2c) composed of positive integers b and c is an integer if r' is rational.

I have absolutely no clue how to do this. Anyone want to help me prove this? I'll definitely be willing to work with you.

There is no such thing as survival of the fittest in today's society.

Are humans going to be fucked over by this later on?

Hey /sci/. I'm interested in learning some set theory, but I'm in my last semester in undergrad and have no room to schedule a class. Is there a book or text out there on set theory/abstract algebra that's especially suited for self-teaching? I've taken a linear algebra class and a real analysis class so I don't think I'll be entirely in the dark on this type of thing.

I need a Windows program that lets me input a (long) array of floating point decimal numbers like this:
0.5,0.653,42,1337,-5,78,-0.3
etc, and figure out what mathematical function would yield an array like that. I don't need interpolation, I'm talking about having a very long array and figuring out if there are any mathematical functions such as "sine wave" or "exponential growth" similar to it. the function can just be "close" to the numbers, it does not need to be exact.
I don't know if that's called "regression" or whatever, but I hope you understand me.

I need a program where you can draw a graph and the program will guess the mathematical function that yields said graph.

Sorry /sci/, you guys probably get a bunch of math questions a lot but my multivariate calculus is killing me.

Find the tangent plane to the function

xzln((x^2+y^2) / 2) - cos(xz) = 0 at (1,1,pi/2)

A general step by step would be really helpful. I know the general equation for this is
z-z0 = dz/dx (x-x0) + dz/dy (y-y0) but I have no idea what I'm doing here.

Is zero ever tangible in science?
I know it isn't in math. Or at least pretty sure.
