BROTIP: You get the new Indian office almost always, but between around 3:00 - 8:00 AM there's just one guy in the American office, you'll get him.

>tfw I used to be that one guy but moved away

just write down the equation like if you do gaussian elimination and find if there is a sensible relation between the two.
The det of the matrix is -(+1+2i)(1+2i)*+5=5-abs(1+2i)=0, so there has to be a non-trivial onedimensional kernel.

why is the answer above not good enough. The definition is literally that there is supposed to be a map a from two vectors v,w to the complex numbers or some other field.
hence a(v,w) is some angle. and this induces a norm vial sqrt(v,v).
The linear maps (name one as L) from vectors v to the field (e.g. L(v) is some number) turn out to be related to the vector/Hilbert space by some one to one correpsondence with the vectors itself (roughtly, for all vectors in the vector space, there is a linear functional in the vector space) and the value is again given by the angle.

I ment that I'd not understand research level string theory.
German happens to me my first language.

Let <span class="math">\langle 0 , 7 \rangle
be the ordered pair of the two numbers <span class="math">0
and <span class="math">7
using the stadard definitions.

Then <span class="math">1\in\langle 0 , 7 \rangle
.

tl;dr

Is there some interesting question going on in this thread or is it just troll-like (even if not intended) bs
