In a fusion reaction, you force two nuclei together fighting the EM repulsion between protons until Strong Nuclear Force overcomes EM to snap the nuclei together. This is accompanied by some radioactive decay.

How does snaping action of nuclear fusion create an explosion? Is the explosive element in the form of radioactive decay, or can a collapse of a system create explosion overall?

No expert just trying to understand things from what I have already being told.

So, /sci/borgs, what would you do with a 10 MT nuclear bomb?
What would you destroy and why?

Pic related, it's Mike

Nuclear war wouldn't destroy mankind.

So, /sci/, is it "wrong" to fantasize about nuclear war?

How do you think you would react if you saw a MASSIVE mushroom cloud over the horizon?

I think I would get a tad excited..
