Hi /sci/, second year undergrad here in math & stats.

What's the best way to get into machine learning? What are some good texts to get me started with the field? This field seems to be growing rapidly and I want a piece of this pie. I'm fairly competent with programming (but by no means a computer scientist), and am very comfortable with mathematical concepts.
