these conversations always make me imagine what ball sports would look like in space once we get really big space stations
you could imagine a non-rotating cylinder room with a diameter of a football field and a length of two football fields with all sorts of interesting stuff in it.
let's set the stage.

it has netting all along the walls to prevent injuries from people careening into the metal sides of the module.
it has a variety of geometric shapes suspended into the playing field by poles attached to the module walls, they're made of compressible material, spheres, cubes, prisms, or even hollow frames of those shapes. people can use them to slow down, change direction, increase speed etc, people can also hold onto them and position themselves so that other people can pass the ball to them. there''s elastic ropes hanging here and there that serve as obstacles but can also be used a crossbar to do mid air gymnastics, they're elastic so you can use them to slow down at high speed or gain even more. on either side of the module are circular goals about 2,5 times the diameter of a person, there's a goalkeeper that can hang onto the sides of this goal or a few platforms surrounding it to attempt to intercept balls.
everything in the playing field is cushioned so that it's hard to get injuries, the maximum speed that people can reach would probably be dictated by their own skill and more importantly, air drag, you could play around with the amount of drag by increasing the atmospheric density beyond 1 bar (this would be played around with and eventually people would find an air pressure that has the right amount of drag for safety but still allows people to have fun by going fast enough.

players would probably want to wear some kind of protective clothing as well so they don't hurt eachother by slamming into eachother.
