So elon's plan is to ditch the legs and catch the booster, the new risk being if you botch a landing you lose the tower, a tower that's more substantial and expensive than normal because it also catches your rocket.

So I thought, what if instead of building something tall, you bore out a hole in the ground. Is there any way to make this work? Explain why I'm completely fucking retarded, for both take off and landing. It's a rhetorical question, it's because I sniffed all the glue.

Also as a side question, if the sea dragon was going to launch from water and it wasn't a problem, are there benefits to launching from a pool?
