the finnish word for doctor is lääkäri, which comes from the Old Swedish lǣkiare. lääke means medicine, medication, drug, the apu naming scheme is bit borked, it really should be lääkäriapustaja as the id card says

Sort of, apustaja is a retardspeak version of avustaja, which is helper or assistant.

Lääke would directly translate to drug/medicine/pharmaceutical etc, but I guess in the context it would be interpreted as medicine helper or med helper. It really should be lääkäriapustaja, which would translate to doctor helper. It even reads so on his id card. I guess I was just lazy when I started naming the images.
