Pretty much yeah. Start with profs you know as >>12633315 suggests. Ask them about their research; the'll be more than happy to talk about what they do. Look at the department webpage for info about which profs are doing things that sound interesting. They all understand where you're at in your career and don't expect you to have any experience.
