>all the older profs have degrees from other medium/large Canadian schools (UoA, Queens, Guelph, UoT, etc)
>literally every newly hired prof is from some BigDick™ American university like harvard, caltech, berkeley, stanford, etc

I just want to eventually be a prof at some small school, teach scrubs and run a chill research group

Do I also have to go to BigDick™ Institute? I was told I have a mildly decent shot but I don't wanna go to the states if I don't have to.
