This one triggers sci but it's true none the less.

The speed of light in a vacuum is variable depending on the local gravity.

This is the exact opposite of mainstream science which declares that gravity bends "spacetime" which isnt a actual real thing. I say the physical path of light curves in reaction to gravity.

How do I stop being a lazy faggot? I know that I'll literally cry if I don't start doing shit for college but I still feel a hard pain in me sometimes when I start learning. It is also frustrating to not get the solution for something like a question. Higher mathematics is fucking hard with me and my prof is an assoholic bitch who got even his employees bitching about him in the seminar. Life back then used to be better back then. I never did anything for school and still got As and Bs. I'm 21 by now and feel like dying from old age.

/sci/, is inbreeding really more likely to produce birth defects? Or is that propaganda?

Is analysis an important field if I am going to study physics? I find math interesting but I feel like some math concepts are useless in physics. What physics/math should I study doing the summer to be prepared in general?

Why don't they use more than just 0s and 1s for computer? Let's look at all combos of 0 and 1
00
01
10
11

Now what if we had 0, 1, and 2
00
01
02
10
11
12
20
21
22

4 combos -> 9 combos, computer over 2x the processing power. Is it because hardware limitations?

Specialized in thermofluids in mechanical engineering, but I want to work on space hardware after my masters (Im in purdues aero astro masters program). People are just expecting me to continue on with my knowledge of thermofluids etc and dont really see my work as "astronaut experience." Have I made a grand mistake? I specialized in fluids because it was my only way into a top program like this, but now im competing with 22 year olds with flight experience whose dads were astronauts

I don't live on the coast and I'm an organic chemist with a bit of experience.

I have worked in food, pharma, and med. Unfortunately, the job market is shit right now (particularly in the middle of the USA) and I can only find lab tech type positions and I would prefer to stay away from food chem. This means that I will probably be working process and large scale.

I don't want to stay unemployed and depressed because I tend to just lie in bed applying for jobs and interviewing and drinking.....but I also don't want to be a thoughtless waste of a PhD in a manufacturing environment.

Why did everything go so wrong while I was getting my PhD? The job market for biotech was booming as I left my undergrad career...
