If the prosperity of a civilization and subsequent technical advancements are as a result of being geographically blessed (fertile crescent - feed more people - more spare time to work and study - more technologically advanced society - guns germs steal style)

Would we have Earth 2.0 if we reconstructed all of Earths land to form dual rings around earth, in the same longitude (east-west) as Europe (ignoring the complication of a new age pangea)?
