I have a question to /sci/

There seems to be a lot of discussion on this forum concerning the NATURAL sciences. However, my question to you all is your opinions on the FORMAL sciences.

Things such as logic, linguistics, mathematics, and statistics. I am specifically interested to hear your opinions on Logic and Linquistics.

My personal opinion is that without this fields, the natural science would not have a strong foundation upon which to rest on, thanks specifically to logic.
