Except we didn't. Many people who actually did an undergrad in math have warned you that going any further than that is unrealistically difficult. Nobody is saying not to do a math undergrad; most people can work through undergrad math one way or another. It's a career in math that you should be as cautious about pursuing as you would be about professional sports.
