Just get one science/math PhD (mathematical sciences especially so). If you want to study something different, either take a postdoc under someone who is specialized in that field and start from there or inch your way paper by paper from writing about your target field in a related paper in your current field until you’re writing about both subjects at a ratio you’re comfortable at (anywhere from 50:50 to 0:100). The work from your first stem PhD is proof of your work ethic and dedication to research. Good papers + willingness to read many texts from different fields > title of your PhD

If anything, this is evidence that demonstrates how the general public doesn’t know what CS entails. This then produces undergrads who go into a field they really wouldn’t sign up for otherwise, and subsequently, we get /sci/ outbursts about stupid CS majors.
