It's more 9 than it is 1, because we resort to parsing left to right once we are on a single tier of priority. Multiplication is thus evaluated left to right, so (6 / 2)*(3)

It is an entirely different paradigm of approach to computers in general- everything we do with computers is bottom-up, a true AI will be top-down.
