I'm looking for questions about science in general for my students. They are 12-16 years old. I want to do a lot of true/false statements to keep it clear from interpretations.

Some examples:

a cell is never visible to the naked eye
all gases are made up from molecules
the speed of sound is about 340m/s

It would be great if you could help me out finding some more of these, I'm trying to get 50-100 of these

I have individuals for this one as well, but you can really easily make your own in Paint...

Hey /sci/,

I've recently signed up to do a BSc honours in Computer Science & a Second Subject with the Open University in the UK. I have a choice on the second subject of Business, Design, Maths (pure or applied), Psychology, or Statistics.

I was going to do maths as I thought I would be needing to do a lot of maths in my the computing side, especially as I want to specialise in AI. Does /sci/ agree with my choice of second subject, and would a grade 6 at International Baccalaureate (standard) be enough to do maths to degree?

Education in America sucks balls. We all know that.
Here's a video about that:

Here's something that my super awesome practical knowledge minor has me trying to do to help fix it.

alright, bit of a lengthy setup. im homeschooled, and just finishing my 2nd to last year. im doing early college start classes at the community college, and hope to go with an associates in computer science, and transfer to a university to get my 4 year. because of the nature of my degree, theres a lot of math. its a two year degree, with math each semester, but the degree plan starts off on calculus 1. to get there, i need to take college algebra, trig, and then pre cal. so if i started taking those now, and didnt mess up, id still finish a semester late.

now, im being told i should take another math at high school level(namely trig), so that im more prepared for the college courses. my options seem to be A) spend this year doing high school trig. or B) take college algebra and then go on to college trig next semester.

id like to get started on my list of math courses, but would i do alright in those without so much of a high school math background?
