One could, perhaps with rigorous instruction, but then one would be using one's underage years to do something one could have done as an adult. I'm sure if a kid spent every breathing moment to further his/her understanding of a certain subject, then he/she would become very proficient at it. However, you would be missing out on the opportunities that being underage gives you, such as young love, messing around with friends, etc.

Until at least a part of intelectual work will be done by living human beings, we will not simply adapt pure Planck unit system. I mean, it will be vastly more precise, and anchored in the very fabric of the universe, but the numbers involved will be too micro or macroscopical, to be used on daily basis.
