Astronomy has a serious problem with how they publish images.
There is nothing wrong with doing false colors to highlight something or mosaics, but they always do a terrible job in being clear that this is not what you would see there.
Because of this we end up with people thinking Io is pineapple yellow, even worse like how people keep using that Magellan topographic render of Venus, most people have no idea Venus is an almost featureless white ball.
Some astronomers get angry if you point out this but they can't realize this just feeds conspiracy trolls and set people up to be disappointed.
