>a MS in CS only costs 7000$ at georgia tech when done online.
Why dont YOU have a MS in CS. anyone with a graduate degree already this question doesnt apply to you. Seems pretty worth. Even if it only nets you a 2000$ increase in wage (which is really low i'd expect a much higher increase in wage probably like 5000$) you will get your money back and more in like 5 years. No GRE bullshit required aslong as you have experience and got decent grades. 3.2+ GPA.

I'll keep this short and sweet. I am currently attending the University of Alabama, but have been accepted as a transfer student into Georgia Tech. I am an aerospace engineer major, so Georgia Tech is one of the top colleges for this degree, and in most rankings is right below Stanford (which is right below MIT). I have no interest in attending purely for my undergraduate degree though. Instead, I am only interested in getting into a great graduate school (UCB, Stanford, MIT, etc). Now I am curious as to whether they pay much attention to where you went for undergrad. If they weight that heavily, I will transfer. But if they don't care as much about that as they do say research or gpa, then I will remain here as 1. It is easier here to make a high gpa than it would be at GT (relatives did engi there and said it was harder), and 2. I actually have fun here and know alot of people, as this is a much bigger campus.

I tried calling but noone I spoke to really knew or cared to inform me. Thought I would ask around here as I know some of you guys have been to these school and gone to graduate school. But like I said, if undergrad isn't a big enough factor to need to transfer, i'll just stay here and focus more on research, volunteer work, and gpa.
