What does /sfg/ think of the DLR's Flüssigkeitsverstärker mit Flügeln zum Zurückfliegen? Could it have been a viable way to reuse boosters?

Continued European space independence in the face of Starship, like what the Ariane 5 did now as Falcon 9 is flying. Once reusable rockets stop being a meme to ESA, I'd imagine them working on some kind of reusable rocket while banning Starship from carrying crucial ESA payloads.

Winged boosters (or since they're german, Flüssigkeitsgetriebegeflügelterakete) look pretty neat. Would like to see ESA give that a try again.
