Constellation has the benefit of not actually delivering any real hardware other than Ares IX, so it’s delays and overruns and disappointment are not as well known.
It is telling though that the Constellation lander, Altair, would have cost $15 billion to build. Even Blue/Lockheed/Grumman’s three stage ladder monstrosity was “only” $10 billion.
And pic related was before constellation. I will gladly shill Shuttle-C as long as the engines are recovered in a re entry pod
