Ayn Rand confirmed form a fraud.
Taking money off of the government in order to pay for lung cancer treatment

http://www.boingboing.net/2011/01/28/ayn-rand-took-govern.html

"Noted speed freak, serial-killer fangirl, and Tea Party hero Ayn Rand was also a kleptoparasite, sneakily gobbling up taxpayer funds under an assumed name to pay for her medical treatments after she got lung cancer.

An interview with Evva Pryror, a social worker and consultant to Miss Rand's law firm of Ernst, Cane, Gitlin and Winick verified that on Miss Rand's behalf she secured Rand's Social Security and Medicare payments which Ayn received under the name of Ann O'Connor (husband Frank O'Connor).
As Pryor said, "Doctors cost a lot more money than books earn and she could be totally wiped out" without the aid of these two government programs. Ayn took the bail out even though Ayn "despised government interference and felt that people should and could live independently... She didn't feel that an individual should take help."

But alas she did and said it was wrong for everyone else to do so"

Are science and philosophy linked? Should they be linked?

As an Objectivist, I view the world differently than some others; therefore, my ideas and experiments are different and cannot be easily replicated by normal people.

My beliefs have unintentionally caused a fracture in the scientific community - one of us must be change.

My major is chemistry but I need about 18 additional hours to graduate.

What do you think about a philosophy minor? My only concern is I don't usually do too good in these liberal arts class that requires writing essays.

I know that there are more useful subjects such as biochem, biology, physic and math, but I'm coming in with an AA and do not have enough credit hours this semester and may lose my full-time student status.
These minors all require calculus prereg, which I do not have and will take this semester.

So basically, I have all these free hours and now would be the best time to fit in the minor.
If anyone has taken philosophy, please weigh in.

THanks.

This woman brought truly objective thought to the world for the first time.

In this thread /sci/ thanks you, Ayn Rand, for your great contributions to scientific and objective thought.

Thank you.
