It is NOT a specturm. Sex, just like gender and orientation is discrete, meaning it is categorical. You can't be inbetween XX - X - XXY - XY; those are all the natural and unnatural states to be. For gender, you can't be transgender and masculine; you're a specific state of mind. The same applies to orientation, if you're homosexual, you're not attracted to the opposite gender/sex, therefore you cannot be both homosexual and heterosexual. These are all categories, they do NOT exist on a spectrum. John Hopkins is the ultimate authority on this and they vehemently disagree with pop scientists trying to paint this as some sort of finished scientific debate just like climate change.
