>You ever look at the map of Europe at the peak of Nazi conquest?
Yes, and that's the issue. If the vast majority of Jews fled or were evacuated from Poland and the Soviet Union as Germany advanced, there are several million missing Jews from Germany's control. The number of Jews in this pre-war census map would have been somewhat lower by 1939 as Jewish populations were below replacement fertility and had been emigrating from Europe. In particular about 60,000 Jews had already been resettled by Germany into Palestine under the Haavara Agreement and about 110,000 immigrated to the United States and 80,000 to Mainland Britain. The rest went to other places in Nazi-occupied Europe.

"German Poland" or, the area that was occupied by Germany after they won the border war, had a pre-war Jewish population of about 1 million. The majority of these fled into the Soviet Union. They were deported to Siberia to work in labor camps. Of the roughly 2 million remaining Jews in Poland, they were absorbed into the general Soviet population. As Hitler advanced eastward, there were large population and industrial evacuations of major cities. About 85% of the Jewish population of "Soviet Poland" and the Soviet Union were included in those evacuations.

>Operation Barbarossa displaced millions of Russians. The exact number is hard to pinpoint, since many evacuated themselves.[22] Some put the number at about sixteen and a half million.[23]

And look at this section on Jews
>During World War II, an estimated 700,000 to 3,000,000 Jews were killed in the Nazi-occupied territories of the Soviet Union by the Einsatzgruppen.[29]

Look at that estimate. The number is a wild guess because there's a severe lack of physical evidence and the population discrepancies can easily be accounted for in ways other than industrial factory murder.

This is entirely mainstream history and yet there is this glaring contradiction.

Interesting how no POW camp in WW2 even came close to having a mortality rate as high as Auschwitz. It’s almost like the explicit objective of the camp was to kill people.
