>Jupiter has 92 moons now
>88 of those moons are just little asteroids caught by the planet's gravity

Can reclassify the definition of "moon", to exclude asteroids orbiting a planet? It would be much easier to keep track of shit around Jupiter and Saturn.

We had the Moon luring us, if they don't have that would they bother with crewed spaceflight or just stick to satellites for quotidian purposes? On the other hand if they live on a exomoon, other moons orbiting their primary might spur them on much more than us.

Tides really wouldn't be an issue. We would be tidally locked to whatever planet we orbit.

I'm actually interested in how Earth would be like if you take the stock inner solar system, but replace the 4 outer planets with an M6 type red dwarf star. I'd give "Sol A" and "Sol B" a 15 AU semimajor axis.

the exoplanet systems we discover tend to have big planets huddling around their star <0.5 AU, very different from ours. we see so many that its likely not simply a selection effect of our mediocre detecting efforts
