It's much harder to be an aphantasic artist though, because you don't even have the picture in your head you are trying to recreate, only a general idea of the concepts/subjects you want to draw, an idea in its pure form is not a picture or a mental image

there were rare times when I would get a vivid picture in my minds eye of something really cool I wanted to draw which motivated me but I couldn't hold the image stable enough and it just got more and more dim the more I tried to recall it

those who are able to not just visualize at increased level of detail but also retain a solid image in their minds eye probably fare better than any aphantasic artist as for them the paper is a blank canvas but they have a visual idea of what they want to draw within the canvas of their mind for me the paper is a blank canvas and so is the minds eye, there are only concepts/ideas that you have to figure out how to get down onto paper and in which perspective etc without any internal mental visual guide, so I often omit things like shading/shadows/perspective as a result

Anyways OP is an idiot, who cannot grasp the fact that human mental visualization ability is on a spectrum

Francis Galton discovered as much back in 1880 http://psychclassics.yorku.ca/Galton/imagery.htm

Where should the next big mission be aimed?
