The mods could solve this issue permanently in an afternoon by creating an eternal covid general /ecg/ and stickying it, and then giving anyone who posts about coof outside of the general a two week ban. That would leave the rest of the board to talk about science with no /pol/ spam.

Maybe a climate change general too.

If you accept the official narrative blindly, without any scrutiny, but subject all new ideas to exhaustive scrutiny, you're a sheep.

If you accept new ideas blindly, but subject the official narrative to exhaustive scrutiny, you're a sheep.

A real, meaningful pursuit of knowledge can only come from a willingness to scrutinize all ideas, regardless of origin. You must be willing to search for evidence and continuously evaluate all theories, including the ones you cherish, to see if they make sense in light of the evidence.

Would you consider lack of intelligence to also be a lack of mental flexibility in terms of adapting to new information or acquiescing in a conversation?

I ask this because genuinely I have this internal conflict between 'everyone is equal' and 'stupid people are a waste of my time' and want to reconcile these differences.

I just got out of an exam where I knew all the topics, the problems were easy, and I finished 10 minutes before everyone else. I am operating on exactly zero hours of sleep and 30 minutes of studying.
How fucked am I?

world is infinitely going upwards because of some force pushing it up

world has a layer of magma undearneath

volcanoes are the result of the force being too much on certain weak spots of the world, causing the magma to be squeezed out

Statistics question because I can't be arsed to dig out my old textbook and figure it out myself.

I have a machine that dispenses rubber balls. Each ball dispensed has an equal chance of being one of N colors. On average, how many balls must be dispensed before I have at least 1 of each color?

Pic is the opposite of what I'm hoping for here.
