speed paste dried up is simply called speed over here. Its the cookie-cutter amphetamine like drugs people use, quality differs, it can be very potent and dirt fucking cheap (5 euro's a gram). I've never seen/heard about anyone using meth/posessing meth.
I think the drug we call speed is a combination of 'left' and 'right' turning amphetamine. The ADD medicine I take multiple times a day every day is called Dexamphetime (or dextro amphetamine) which is only the 'right' spinning kind, the ratio of left to right turning amphetamine in speed would be something like 89:11.
The left turning kind contributes to more bodily feelings of energy, clenching of teeth, urges to move around a lot. The right variant improves your focus, makes you autistic as fuck, improves alertness etc.
Aderall is used for the same purpose as dexamphetamine but it's more of a mixture of different kinds of shit. I guess for the sole purpose of branding it and making money of it in the murican market.
In general speed gives you a more 'dirty' high, better for parties/getting fucked up.
Dexampetamine/Adderal gives you a more 'clean' high, better for getting shit done. e.g they gave Dexamphetamines to pilots on aircraft carries when they had perform night landings (go pills) and to special forces on certain missions.

I guess how meth differs is that it lasts quite long, but then again I've cleary felt the influence of some speed i sniffed for up too 10 hours. Maybe we just call meth 'good speed' and we're sniffing it instead of smoking which makes the difference.
