How could Godel prove his incompleteness theorem, when the theorem itself says that it's impossible to prove anything?

Who /bully/ here?

>be physics tutor
>nerd brainlet always asks for help
>tell him to meet me at a cafe for next session instead of normal tutoring center
>know he has huge crush on Stacy
>ask her to get coffee at the same place and time
>she accepts (obviously)
>fast forward to tutoring session/date
>brainlet walks into cafe
>sees me and Stacy waiting for our coffees
>face turns red and drops his books on the floor
>walks up to me and asks mutters something about tutoring
>laugh and ask very loudly "Um...do I know you?"
>Stacy is giving me a look that lets me know we're going to bone very shortly
>brainlet's eyes begin watering, bends down to pick up his books
>put my arm around Stacy and say "come on, let's go somewhere where this creep won't bother us"
>walk to my car and start boning

Haven't seen him since. Kek, brainlets.

(To keep it science and math related: Who's your favorite scientist?)

/sci/ bully thread

>be TA leading discussion section
>brainlet who shouldn't even be in the class always sits in the front row
>ask the class some easy questions to keep them engaged
>ask them a question that sounds like the others but is actually requires knowledge of material not covered in the class to answer
>uncomfortable silence falls over the room
>"Anyone? Come on, you guys should be able to do this."
>brainlet in the front row is staring at his desk desperately to avoid making eye contact
>call on him by name and ask what he thinks about the problem
>"duh...uh... doesn't it have something to do with, like, polynomials and stuff?"
>"Polynomials... and stuff, you say? I'm afraid I don't follow. You'll have to be more specific"
>teacher's pet type girl begins to answer, but I cut her off
>brainlet is squirming in his seat, mutters that he doesn't know the answer
>other kids begin to snicker by this point
>tell him "You know, this is a demanding class that requires both preparation and intelligence. If you're not willing to even do the bare minimum work required to not make a fool of yourself, then you quite simply do not belong here."
>covers his face and runs out of the room
>after class all the girls fawn over me and one slips me her number

Feels good to put brainlets in their place.

>be TA giving office hours
>student comes in and asks for help on homework
>tell him the problems are just trivial modifications of examples worked in class
>tells me he didn't understand those examples and asks to go over those
>tell him "They were already covered thoroughly in lecture and in the book. In the future, don't come to my office hours if you're just going to waste my time."
>qt student waiting her turn saw the whole exchange and is giving me f*ck-me eyes
>first student is fighting back tears

kek I guess some people just aren't born to be mathematicians

So if nothing can travel faster than the speed of light, then how can anything be equal to mc^2? There's no practical way we could verify this.

first week of real analysis and I solved the Laplace transforms in my head while everyone else was still copying them down

kek some people are just born mathematicians and some people have to work for it

mfw i'm the former
