so what does /sci/ think about the technological singularity and the search for extraterrestrial intelligence.

technological singularity says intelligent life will eventually saturate the galaxy and spread throughout the universe at the speed of light?, but the universe doesnt look like the internet or neural net, or does it?

are we the first intelligent life forms out of the trillions of stars?

or has there been a technological singularity already and we living in a simulation of a universe and when we create a new simulation it will start again?
