I do not see the point of science when god is the answer to everything and he decides how everything is. Science is more than pointless the way i look at it.

for the last 30 years the quality of life in America has declined on the average. odds are your never ever EVER gonna climb that corporate ladder or ascend into place where you feel comfortable raising a child. our society is set up so that your most productive years are 35 to 40. that is right when your first child should be looking at college.
I had the opportunity at 23 to be a father to a women that would of raised my child in complete support and nurturing environment. and she loved BJ's. but no, I was thinking "bringing a child into this world with out a nice house and 2 cars and company pension is cruel and evil."

People always seem to debate whether or not God is real. But what's the point? Existence and non-existence are arbitrary, or in other words, it could be said God both exists and doesn't exist. Not only are atheists (who say there is no god) and theists (who say there is a god) both wrong, but arguing something beside the point.

There is no objective reality, so why bother with arguing?

/sci/ what is something you believe incredibly strongly to be true, to the point that it is a dead dogma. I personally can't think of anything, it'd be easier if I was a Christian.

It's a long comic and I think the conclusion of the comic is that you yourself are in someway or shape God. The conclusion (I think) was something along those lines. I can't really remember any of the drawings and what was said, but I remember it made me think.

Today, my chemistry lecture was about the wave particle duality and quantum orbitals.

I'm having trouble imagining how this fits into the model of an atom. If electrons are wave, what exactly is doing the waving? The fabric of space and time?

Does electron simply disappear and reappear at another location? Where does it go to and where does it come from?

Also, we went through some of the math, but math does little to help picture reality.
