Why can't they do what they did for the Ebola vaccine trials? We know have a working vaccine against the Ebola virus but they did not have to infect healthy people to trial and test it.

>It’s basically impossible for a virus to be contagious before symptoms are visible because the symptoms are how it is spread.

You're a special kind of retard you know - the sort that spouts misinformation and honestly believes it. Go back o your bugchaser parties and to play russian roulette with HIV.

What can be done to reverse the problem of scientific illiteracy and distrust in the West? There is a serious problem when even third world countries recognize the benefits of one of the greatest achievements of medical science in history over supposedly educated first world countries.

Does a PCR reaction also induce mutations in subsequent strands with each cycle? If not why not?

I understand that bacterial polymerase does not function with high fidelity compared to eukaryotic polymerase and the original famous polymerase (Taq) was taken from a prokaryotic thermophile species though I'm sure better versions are now in use. It's not like the PCR reaction includes a proof reading mechanism either does it?

The term is 'genderfluid'.

Theories of cognitive evolution suggest that social species are also smarter.

Species with proportionally larger brains also tend to larger social networks.

Complex social structures are a sign of intelligence.

How come, then, so many intelligent academics throughout the ages have been complete social outcasts or otherwise wondrously socially inept?

For yourself, why do you have so few (if any) friends?

I have a virology question.

To my understanding when measuring the pro-viral load of a blood specimen you are taking into consideration the viral genome integrated into the blood cells right?

Why then is it necessary not to centrifuge the plasma (assuming using an EDTA blood specimen tube) from the blood? Why can't you still spin it and then just measure the blood cells minus plasma?

>If you are attacking democracy you are saying that you want something different.

That's not a bad thing in itself. Science itself looks to question the overwhelming paradigm if evidence necessitates it.

>Everything old is way more shittier than democracy, everything new is way more riskier.

This is false. Technologically it might have been worse but democracy and technology don't necessarily go hand in hand, the same with capitalism and democracy and it's so often confused by people that mistake the fruits of capitalism and technology to be because of democracy.

A benevolent dictator could do a equivalent of better job with the same circumstances than a multiparty government even if in principle the idea of one person holding overwhelming power is 'morally' and 'ethically' wrong.

A criticism of democracy is necessary to point out what is wrong and where to fix it or make amends which are more just and more fair - it is not saying 'I want to change to a different system completely! as people like yourself wrongly seem to think.

Kaku wasn't cutting through the bullshit - he literally got triggered by what he perceived as an attack on democracy and acted in the same manner SJWs do when confronted and challenged on their views. He's an idiot and embarrassed himself and what's worse is he doesn't even realize it

I came across this fascinating article discussing the changes of the microbiome of the human body through time upon death and how it might be useful as an indicator for tracking the time of death.

However I want to read the original paper but can't access it.

I'm pretty sure there are some here who could access these journals for free (via uni institution log-ins etc). Would it be possible for someone to download it and upload it here to make it accessible to read?

As a side perhaps others could also upload/request interesting papers that some can't access?
