Why do you study STEM at all? We're all going to die and stop existing at some point, why contribute to society and to the advancement of the human race? Even if we do everything right the universe is going to kill us all at some point and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. Being smart is knowing that studying STEM is a meaningless task when you're to apathetic and nihilistic to even care about it anyway.

Nothing exists besides material that is indivisible and is not composed of smaller parts. One could look at only the fundamental particles that constitute the universe and they would be looking at all that exists.

Science is already pointless and futile. As the name suggests, science is the search for complete omniscience. Which is simply impossible given the size of the universe.
