Everyone used to accept race differences pre ww2. Nazis made it unfashionable.
Scientifically you'd expect races to differ and all the data says they do. We've got Neanderthal admixture, genome wide trait association studies, obvious physical and medical differences.
Mental characteristics are more mutable than physical ones and you can't get an objective physical measurement for them so they've become the last refuge of the race deniers.
