Why don't scientific papers include the source code for their simulations?
For example, pick a random paper on arxiv. The abstract will tell you that they calculated some shit and they'll even show you some cool graphs from their simulations but when you get to the end of the paper there is no link to their source code. Don't tell me this shit can't be executed on commodity hardware. Isn't the point of science to replicate experiments? How can I replicate your findings if you won't even share the code? I'm I suppose to just take your word for it? Just "trust the science"? What even is the point of publishing it in the open if you won't share the simulations?
