Ok /sci/ lets have a rational discussion.

What is a realistic solution to global warming/our insane carbon output.

Our Current Nuclear technology cannot be scaled to the needed levels (and they're ticking pressure vessels)

Solar Energy only works in certain parts of the world and only works during the day - cannot provide the power we need without large arrays of batteries

Wind - situational still

Hydro - situational but good power source

Geo - see hydro
